Textile City 2004. Oil painting on found framed canvas.

I loved this painting. I painted this painting of the emotion of freedom.
I just sold my car and headed into the city with a 1964 Schwinn Cruiser. Life felt great, fresh and colorful I was finally living alone in the most cultured part of town, the Tenderloin.

I started painting everyday all day sometimes and leaving really just to be more inspired.
The summer was finally here it was harvest moon in the city and this day was super hot with an orange tint to the air. Indian summer in the SOMA district. This painting is in a private collection.

Less is more.

Tired of all this plastic all over the world.
Plastic...plastic...plastic....plastic.. sick!

Material World

This painting was about covering the painting so the image feels rough and dry. There are thin layer of different colored varnish.

A great reason to paint.

This painting was painted from my inner soul and I like using emotions to connect the feel and the moment. The painting was a true thought and later painted over. The process can be the unraveling of several paintings and moods. Lots and lots of layers. Now I document these many stages, this is one of the layers. 2011

15 Romolo Basque Hotel

I love this location. I'm looking from my rooftop onto the Basque Hotel in San Francisco.

San Francisco in the morning.

I like waking up early so I can see the cool crisp colors sparkle in the morning sun.The city scape begins to awake like a flower one petal at a time. 2011 oil on canvas. Still living in North Beach.
